African Leadership Academy

The African Leadership Academy (ALA) partners with a wide-range of corporate partners, educational institutions, foundations, and individuals who share its vision of positively transforming Africa.

It is this shared vision that won MMA Design Studio a 4 year partnership with ALA to expand their Honeydew campus in Johannesburg.

“African Leadership Academy seeks to transform Africa by developing a powerful network of over 6,000 leaders who will work together to address Africa’s greatest challenges, achieve extraordinary social impact and accelerate the continent’s growth trajectory.”

The first phase of the expansion is the re-purposing of an old printing factory into a students’ “Knowledge Commons” a learning resource center with various teaching and learning spaces, multi-media center and library.

The building is being re-designed in line with the ALA’s values and pedagogic mission.
